After updating the new Starred Message feature for IOS WhatsApp has released the Starred message feature for android users also.

Starred Message feature :
What it is ?
It allows users to quickly access bookmarked messages such as images,videos or text quickly.

How to use ?
Tap or hold on a message other than media.The message will be saved under newly added Starred Messages Tab.Similar to a bookmarked website,a star icon will appear adjacent to the message bookmarked.
WhatsApp update (v2.12.339) for android will mark this feature.Android users can avail the latest version from whatsapp.com.

The feature is not currently available on Google PlayStore.To avail the update kindly visit whatsapp.com.
The company might unveil the update on playstore within few days.
