Here in this lab engineers are working to develop a advanced version of LCD which is at present loaded in iPhones/iPads/Mac PC’s. In this development phase the company  is focusing towards the OLCD’s(Organic Liquid-Cristal Diode) which are even thinner and don’t require a backlight, support.

Here this move of Apple has an interesting fold hidden in it, that Apple new research step may further reduce the Apple’s reliance on Samsung. If the company become extrovert with the development of its display technology, by outsourcing to smaller manufacturer like Taiwan’s AU Optronics or Innolux Corp.” The hidden loop can get bring a huge benefit to the company. And also Apple has iOS  system  which with the undeveloped technology can bring totally a new product for the company which could be a way ahead of its opponent.

Also value highlight is that the claim that Apple has Associate in nursing interest in OLED displays, a rumour that we’ve seen sprout up with increasing frequency over the past few weeks. the foremost recent rumblings from the rumour mill recommend that Apple won’t build the transition to OLED displays till the iPhone eight, with the corporate already eying Samsung, Japan show (a joint Hitachi, Sony and Toshiba venture), and LG as potential suppliers. In fact, LG last month confirmed that it had been finance a minimum of $8.4 billion into a brand new OLED plant set to start operations in early 2018, barely enough time for it to be prepared for mass iPhone eight production if Apple goes down that route.

At present Apple is tackling some of the drawbacks of OLED displays (they’re more expensive, colour saturation can fad over time), hence Apple is talking to suppliers about ways to resolve those issues. On the positive side, OLED displays are thin and light, highly energy-efficient, and provide rich and vibrant colours.

There is no doubt , that for a great product like iPhone and iPad displays already are, the company  is not only relying on its subsidiaries but it is also working hard to make there devices even better.
